Nero Italiano is an Italian black rice with a deep, earthy flavor and a firm bite that holds up through cooking. Its striking color comes from the natural pigment in the bran layer — the same layer that gives it more fiber and nutrients than white rice. Cook it as a risotto, serve it warm as a side, or let it cool into a salad. The color alone makes a dish.

Riseria Campanini has been selecting and milling rice in the Po River Valley of northern Italy since 1933. Now in its third generation, the family sources grain from Lombardy, Veneto, and Emilia-Romagna — storing each farm's harvest separately to preserve the character of each crop. No chemical treatment. Vacuum packed at peak freshness.
