Birkenstock cork is a natural material that responds to its environment. In dry climates — the desert Southwest, high altitude mountain towns — cork dries out and cracks without moisture protection. In wet climates — the Pacific Northwest, New England — cork absorbs moisture without a seal and deteriorates from the inside. We accept mail-in cork sealing from anywhere in the US. Contact us first to confirm the service and get a quote. Then pack your sandals securely and ship via USPS Priority Mail. We seal your cork professionally and ship your sandals back with tracking. Most services are completed within approximately two weeks of receiving your shoes.
Return shipping is the customer's responsibility and will be confirmed before we ship back. We recommend insuring your outgoing shipment for its replacement value.
